Accessibility Statement

Our commitment
Seamanship LLC wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and follow WCAG 2.2 where we can.
What we have done
- A “Skip to main content” link and a clear heading structure on every page.
- Full keyboard access, with a visible focus outline on every link and control.
- Text and button colors checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Labeled form fields, with required fields marked and errors described in text.
- The background video is silent, has a pause button, and doesn’t play at all if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Animations are reduced or turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Automated testing with axe-core, plus a manual keyboard review.
Known limitations
The interactive ship’s wheel in “What We Do” works with a keyboard and screen reader, but its decorative effects can be slow on older devices. The same information appears in text in the sections below it. The site has not yet been tested with every combination of screen reader and browser; if something doesn’t work for you, please tell us.
